Digital public space development by and for Amsterdam

Amsterdam and Waag develop the digital public space together with several partners in the city. The space consists of applications that allow Amsterdam residents to develop themselves, their opinions and to influence the developments in their city. How does this digital public space differ from the internet as we know it? Are there similarities with the physical public space? What are the processes to define this digital public space?
